Kirstin O'Connor 

Waking up before sunrise has practically become natural for Kirstin, after several years in Morning news. 

Kirstin helps wake up the Rogue Valley with positive energy as an anchor of NewsWatch12 This Morning (KDRV) in Medford, Oregon. She was hired in 2013 as the producer/editor/anchor for the weekend morning newscast and switched roles in late 2014 as the weekday anchor. Kirstin reported in the NewsWatch12 Midday newscast that earned an Emmy for live coverage of the Medford Teachers' Strike in 2014. 

Kirstin graduated with a B.A. in Communications at the University of California, San Diego. Kirstin interned at NBC7 San Diego (KNSD) and was hired as an Assignment Desk Editor and News Writer. 

Kirstin was selected to perform in the local Dancing with the Rogue Valley Stars charity that raised more than $25,000 for Sparrow Clubs in 2014. 

Kirstin has always enjoyed the spotlight. She began performing at a young age in dance recitals, theatrical productions, and debate tournaments. At the University of California, San Diego, she appeared in several live productions. Kirstin says her job as a UCSD College Ambassador, or tour guide, gave her the first opportunity to do live presentations every day, and she hasn’t stopped since.
